Tomorrow is wedding day

The reason we drove 3200+ kilometers in 48 hours (see previous post) is twofold.

The first reason is that our niece Lauren is marrying Waylon tomorrow. The second reason is to pack up my mother to move her out west (see the post previous to the previous post!). More about that later.

But back to the wedding.

The rehearsal

The excitement is mounting as family members arrive from across the country. Tonight was the rehearsal at the wonderful country estate of Strathmere followed by a dinner at the home of the father of bride’s. Old acquaintances were renewed and new friendships forged. Lots of figuring out who’s who and who goes with who! Humans of all ages.

Weddings bring families together and when everything goes well, even past transgressions can be put aside. It reminds us all of the strength of love…and the commitment of marriage.
